DSCC Communications Director Sadie Weiner made the following statement today regarding Robert Blaha’s decision to join the crowded primary for the Republican Senate nomination in Colorado:
“With Robert Blaha’s decision to officially join the Colorado primary, the GOP field has nearly doubled in just the past week and a half. With a crowded field of second and third tier candidates, Republicans are in for a long, messy primary that will leave whoever emerges on their side damaged and too extreme for Colorado. Michael Bennet has built a strong record of working across party lines to fight for Colorado, and we are confident he will be re-elected in November.”
