In response to Senator Rick Scott voting against the Right to Contraception Act, legislation that would protect the right to access and use contraceptives, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) spokesperson Maeve Coyle issued the following statement:
“Scott stands against women’s right to make their own decisions about their health care and their lives — and this vote shines a spotlight on the threat that Scott poses to Florida women’s reproductive freedom, including basic access to contraception. Scott’s relentless attacks on women’s rights and freedoms will lead Florida voters to reject him in November.”
