In response to Senators Ted Cruz and Rick Scott again voting against the Right to IVF Act, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) spokesperson Emily Benson issued the following statement:
“Cruz, Scott, and Senate Republicans’ vote against protections for IVF treatments underscores the grave threat they pose to women’s right to make their most personal decisions about their health care and their families. Reproductive freedom will be a defining issue of the 2024 Senate election, and their vote against IVF protections will give voters another reason to reject Cruz, Scott and GOP Senate candidates in every state.”
