Sen. Peters: If you probably asked me if there’s one theme that we can say, all of our Republican opponents are kind of on a — if you’re going to put them on a spectrum, it would start at flawed candidate and then move to very flawed candidate.

Jong-Fast: Right.

Sen. Peters: And you mentioned one in Arizona, Kari Lake pushes the envelope on the very flawed category as we move on that continuum. But certainly the Republican in Ohio, the same thing, very flawed. He’s really inflated his biography, but he also was a car dealer, refused to pay overtime to his employees. They had to sue him to try to get the pay that they deserved and earned. He then destroyed documents. He had a fine from the court. Not a guy that you’d want in the Senate – or someone who you think would be fighting for everyday people when he tried to cheat them out of money that they earned working in his place. And that’s just one negative, we could go on about negatives. Versus Sherrod Brown, who is just a man of incredible integrity and character and has a track record of fighting for the people of Ohio.

Jong-Fast: So let’s talk about the Wisconsin Senate race.

Sen. Peters: Tammy, similar to the other candidates I’ve talked about, she is a true, authentic person who cares deeply about the people of Wisconsin…her opponent is also deeply flawed. There’s gonna be a theme here, deeply flawed. And some of the things he said are crazy. I mean, one of them was that he didn’t think people in nursing homes should be able to vote, because they’re not going to be living very long. I mean, it is pretty outrageous. That offends so many people.
