Zerlina Maxwell: “So I read that the DSCC is making new investments, significant investments, in some of these important Senate races, including in Florida and in Texas. Tell us about it.”
Sen. Peters: “Well, we are very excited about that…We announced yesterday that we’re going to be making a multi-million dollar investment in both Florida and Texas. So those are opportunities for us to pick up states to go on the offense.”
“We have flawed Republican candidates in Ted Cruz and Rick Scott — Republicans in those states that are weak.”
“And we have very strong Democratic candidates, Debbie Mucarsel-Powell in Florida, and Colin Allred in Texas. And right now, those races are in the margin of error as well. They’re close…two states that are definitely in play.”
