Rubio voted against bill backed by 64 Republicans and Democrats
In response to Senator Rubio’s vote today against a bipartisan bill to increase domestic semiconductor chip manufacturing, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokesperson Amanda Sherman-Baity issued the following statement:
“Rubio’s vote shows he doesn’t care about anything except his own petty politics, and why Floridians can’t trust him to work for them. Unlike Rubio, 64 Republicans and Democrats came together to pass this bill because making more computer chips in America is a no brainer: it will lower costs, strengthen our supply chains, and ensure we can out-compete countries like China. Rubio’s vote is the latest demonstration that he’s totally lost touch with Floridians’ priorities, and it’s another reason he’ll be defeated in November.”
