Key Vote Alert: Johnson Votes Against Bill To Lower Costs & Make Chips In America

Johnson voted against bill backed by 64 Republicans and Democrats

In response to Senator Johnson’s vote today against a bipartisan bill to increase domestic semiconductor chip manufacturing, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokesperson Amanda Sherman-Baity issued the following statement:

“Johnson’s vote shows how twisted he’s become by the politics of Washington and how his self-serving agenda is hurting the people of Wisconsin. Unlike Johnson, 64 Republicans and Democrats came together to pass this bill because making more computer chips in America is a no brainer: it will lower costs, strengthen our supply chains, and ensure we can out-compete countries like China. Johnson’s vote is the latest demonstration that he’s totally lost touch with Wisconsinites’ priorities, and it’s another reason why he’ll be defeated in November.”
