This week, around the second anniversary of the leaked Republican Supreme Court decision that overturned Roe v. Wade, Democrats, local leaders, and health care advocates across the Senate battleground states are holding GOP Senate candidates accountable for opposing women’s right to make their own health care decisions and standing in lockstep with their party’s dangerous agenda to ban abortion nationwide, without exceptions.
In Arizona, the Arizona Democratic Party called out Kari Lake for backing the state’s 1864 abortion ban without exceptions for rape or incest and released a video highlighting Lake’s support for overturning Roe v. Wade.
In Florida, the Florida Democratic Party joined local leaders to slam Rick Scott for repeatedly pledging he would sign Florida’s six-week abortion ban and Debbie Mucarsel-Powell’s campaign highlighted Scott’s support for the ban with a mobile billboard and digital ads.
In Michigan, the Michigan Democratic Party called out Rogers, Amash, and Pensler for their long anti-choice records.
In Montana, the Montana Democratic Party reminded voters of Tim Sheehy’s support for abortion bans, and that he was backed by an anti-abortion group that is pushing for a nationwide abortion ban.
In Nevada, the Nevada Democratic Party slammed Sam Brown’s support for Texas’ anti-abortion law that is considered one of the “toughest restrictions in the country.”
In Ohio, the Ohio Democratic Party reminded voters of Bernie Moreno’s “well-documented” support for a national abortion ban without exceptions.
In Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania Democratic Party joined with local health care providers and leaders to call out David McCormick for backing an abortion ban without exceptions for rape or incest.
In Texas, the Texas Democratic Party reminded Texas voters that Ted Cruz has a long record opposing women’s reproductive freedom and supporting a federal abortion ban.
In Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Democratic Party bashed Eric Hovde for his clear record opposing legal abortion.
And the DSCC released a new ad highlighting Kari Lake’s support for Arizona’s dangerous 1864 ban and relaunched GOPonAbortion.com, a website highlighting GOP Senate candidates’ own words and records opposing women’s right to make their own health care decisions.
