IN THE STATES: 100 Days Out, Democratic Senate Campaigns Mobilize Grassroots Supporters, Highlight Contrast with Flawed GOP Candidates

To mark 100 days out from Election Day, Democratic Senate campaigns across the country highlighted the strength of Democratic candidates, the power of their campaigns, and the weakness of Republicans’ Senate recruits.

Here’s how Democratic Senate campaigns marked 100 days out from Election Day:

In Arizona: The Arizona Democratic Party released a memo detailing their “enthusiastic grassroots support” and how Kari Lake’s “vision for the state doesn’t align with what Arizonans want.”

In Florida: Debbie Mucarsel-Powell’s campaign emphasized how she “is fighting for a brighter future for Floridians” while if “Scott gets a second term, he won’t hesitate to push his toxic and out-of-touch agenda to rob seniors’ Social Security and Medicare benefits, raise taxes on middle-class families, and force a national abortion ban.”

In Maryland: Angela Alsobrooks joined MSNBC’s The Sunday Show with Jonathan Capehart to discuss how “Larry Hogan, Mitch McConnell, and Donald Trump share the same goal. And that is to give the Republicans a majority in the Senate.”

In Michigan: The Michigan Democratic Party released a memo detailing Mike Rogers’ “long record of enriching himself at Michiganders’ expense.”

In Montana: The coordinated field campaign hosted a Weekend of Action and the Montana Democratic Party shined a spotlight on how Shady Sheehy “will change Montana for the worse.”

In Nevada: The Rosen for Nevada campaign highlighted how “the future of reproductive freedom, Social Security and Medicare, and affordable housing will be on the ballot.”

In Ohio: The coordinated field campaign hosted a Weekend of Action and Sherrod Brown’s campaign also issued a memo outlining that “while Sherrod fights for Ohio, his opponent Bernie Moreno is out for himself.”

In Pennsylvania: Senator Bob Casey launched the third leg of his “On Our Side Road Trip” to “highlight his work lowering costs and fighting fentanyl,” and the Pennsylvania Democratic Party spotlighted McCormick’s “disastrous record of investing in China, lying about where he lives, and killing jobs.”

In Texas: Colin Allred and Texas leaders launched a “Texas offense,” the “first statewide coordinated grassroots effort in 20 years” to defeat Ted Cruz, while the Texas Democratic Party highlighted that “Cruz is still only fighting for himself instead of working hard on Texans’ behalf.”

In Wisconsin: Wisconsin Democrats marked 100 days out from Election Day by mobilizing a statewide grassroots effort to elect Tammy Baldwin and Democrats up and down the ticket.

From the DSCC: DSCC Chair Senator Peters penned a guest column in MSNBC highlighting why “Democrats are in the strongest possible position to defend our Senate majority thanks to the strength of our candidates, the power of their campaigns and the weakness of Republican recruits.” Chair Peters also joined MSNBC’s The Weekend to discuss how Senate Democrats are strongly positioned for victory and running against “deeply flawed” GOP recruits — and the DSCC released 101 examples of Senate Republicans’ candidate quality problems.
