IN THE BATTLEGROUNDS: Senate Republicans’ Pledge To Overturn The ACA Would Strip Coverage Protections, Spike Costs

Ahead of the twelve-year anniversary of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), Senate Republicans’ are once again pledging to overturn the law – causing Americans to lose their health care, stripping critical coverage protections for those with pre-existing conditions, and spiking costs for working families.

Here’s the impact of Republicans’ health care agenda across the Senate battlegrounds:

• In Arizona, 749,706 Arizonans would lose their health care, and at least 1,145,000 non-elderly Arizonans would be at risk of being kicked off their health care because of a pre-existing condition.

• In Colorado, 685,716 Coloradans would lose their health care, and at least 789,000 non-elderly Coloradans would be at risk of being kicked off their health care because of a pre-existing condition. 

• In Florida, 2,723,094 Floridians would lose their health care, and at least 3,526,000 non-elderly Floridians would be at risk of being kicked off their health care because of a pre-existing condition. 

• In Georgia, 701,135 Georgians would lose their health care, and at least 3,526,000 non-elderly Georgians would be at risk of being kicked off their health care because of a pre-existing condition. 

• In Nevada, 376,811 Nevadans would lose their health care, and at least 487,000 non-elderly Nevadans would be at risk of being kicked off their health care because of a pre-existing condition.

• In New Hampshire, 122,697 Granite Staters would lose their health care, and at least 233,000 non-elderly Granite Staters would be at risk of being kicked off their health care because of a pre-existing condition. 

• In North Carolina, 670,223 North Carolinians would lose their health care, and at least 1,762,000 non-elderly North Carolinians would be at risk of being kicked off their health care because of a pre-existing condition. 

• In Ohio, 821,999 Ohioans would lose their health care, and at least 1,983,000 non-elderly Ohioans would be at risk of being kicked off their health care because of a pre-existing condition. 

• In Pennsylvania, 1,336,976 Pennsylvanians would lose their health care, and at least 2,105,000 non-elderly Pennsylvanians would be at risk of being kicked off their health care because of a pre-existing condition. 

• And in Wisconsin, 212,209 Wisconsinites would lose their health care, and at least 883,000 non-elderly Wisconsinites would be at risk of being kicked off their health care because of a pre-existing condition.
