Marking one month after the Republican Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, today Democratic Senatorial Campaign spokesperson Nora Keefe issued the following statement:
“In the month since the Republican Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, GOP Senate candidates have only escalated their attacks on women’s rights to make our own health care decisions. They’ve stood in lockstep with their party’s agenda to make abortion a crime without exceptions for rape, incest or the life of the mother, called for a nationwide abortion ban, and put forward a litany of offensive, out of touch-excuses. Americans want a Senate that is focused on lowering costs and rebuilding our economy, not attacking women’s freedom to make our own choices – and that’s why they will vote to protect and expand Democrats’ Senate majority in November.”
