Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Chairman Senator Gary Peters released the following statement on the passing of AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka:
“Richard Trumka dedicated his life to advocating on behalf of working Americans, always fiercely fighting to ensure workers were treated with dignity and paid the wages they deserved. With Richard’s passing, we have lost a tremendous champion in our fight to protect the American dream, but we will honor Richard’s memory by continuing his mission to uplift and support the priorities of American workers and their families each and every day. My deepest condolences go to his family members and loved ones during this difficult time.”
