On the one-year anniversary of Senate Democrats passing the American Rescue Plan, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Chair Senator Gary Peters issued the following statement:
“When Senate Democrats came into office, Americans were in the midst of a crisis that was upending their lives, threatening their health and wrecking our economy. So we took action to address working families’ most urgent priorities: speeding up vaccines so Americans could get back to work and school, lowering costs like health care, and cutting taxes. In the year since the passage of the American Rescue Plan, Senate Democrats have remained laser focused on fighting for working families while Republicans have pushed the agenda of the ultra-wealthy and big corporations that get rich by keeping prices high – and that’s exactly why Democrats will protect and expand our Senate majority in 2022.”
REMINDER: Every single Senate Republican voted against the American Rescue Plan that is lowering costs like health care, cut taxes for families, delivering historic levels of economic growth, expanded vaccine distribution, and helped reopen schools, restaurants and small businesses.
