On the 59th anniversary of Griswold v. Connecticut, the Supreme Court ruling protecting the right to buy and use contraceptives without government restrictions, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) spokesperson Annie Lentz issued the following statement:
“Today’s anniversary is a harsh reminder that basic rights and freedoms that women have had for decades — like access to contraception — are now under constant threat from Senate Republican candidates. In 2024, the GOP’s relentless attack on women’s reproductive freedoms will lead voters to reject GOP Senate candidates and protect Democrats’ Senate majority.”
