DSCC Releases New TV Ad in Montana: “50 Percent”

The DSCC released a new TV ad, “50 Percent,” holding Senator Steve Daines accountable for selling out Montanans with pre-existing conditions to side with the drug and insurance industries that have given him over $700,000 in contributions.

Over 50% of Montanans have a pre-existing health condition like asthma, cancer, heart disease, or diabetes. But Senator Daines has voted four times to gut protections for Montanans with pre-existing conditions while pocketing hundreds of thousands of dollars from his big industry donors. It’s part of a troubling pattern from Daines of selling out Montanans.

The ad is the seventh to run in Montana from the DSCC IE and is part of the committee’s previously announced offensive television and digital paid investments in key battleground states.

50 Percent

Transcript:

“One out of every two people have a pre-existing condition in Montana. Asthma, cancer, heart disease, diabetes. So if half of us have a pre-existing condition, how could our senator, Steve Daines, vote to strip away our health coverage? He’s not looking out for us – he must be thinking about the health and drug industries that gave his campaign $700,000. Steve Daines is putting money over us.”
