Today, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) is releasing a new television ad in the Michigan Senate race, “Decide.”
The spot features a Michigan woman who had to end her pregnancy due to life-threatening complications calling out Mike Rogers for co-sponsoring a bill that could have banned all abortions with no exceptions to save the mother’s life.
The ad will reach voters on TV starting today as part of the DSCC’s previously announced $79 million advertising plan.

Michigan Woman: We were so excited to have a baby. But then, the doctors told me that the baby wouldn’t survive, and if I didn’t end my pregnancy, neither would I. Mike Rogers co-sponsored a bill that could have banned all abortions with no exceptions to save the mother’s life. So, if his bill had passed, I might have died, and that’s why politicians like Mike Rogers should never decide whether a woman can have an abortion.
