Today, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) is releasing a new television ad in the Michigan Senate race, “All There.”
The spot features Eric Schneidewind, the former president of the Michigan AARP, highlighting Mike Rogers’ deep ties to the drug industry and how Rogers repeatedly voted with the drug industry to stop Medicare from negotiating lower drug prices.
The ad will reach voters on TV starting today as part of the DSCC’s previously announced $79 million advertising plan.
Transcript:
Eric Schneidewind: Want to know who Mike Rogers is? He got more than a million dollars from the drug industry. His wife runs a firm that lobbies for the drug industry. Nine of his former staffers lobby for the drug industry. And, sure enough, he voted with the drug industry to stop Medicare from negotiating lower drug prices. Four times. So with Mike Rogers, you pay more, and the drug industry makes more, and that’s all there is to it.
