Today, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) is releasing a new radio ad in the Montana Senate race, “Auctioneer.”
The spot highlights how Tim Sheehy is a rich out-of-stater who is threatening access to Montana public lands.
The ad will reach voters on the radio starting today as part of the DSCC’s previously announced $79 million advertising plan.
Transcript:
Auctioneer: Hey, gimme 20 million, gimme 25, 25, 25, gimme 30 million.
Announcer: That’s the sound of Montana public land being auctioned off to the highest bidder. Access is already getting cut off by wealthy landowners, and politicians like Tim Sheehy are making it worse. Doesn’t matter that you got your first buck with your grandpa up on that ridgeline.
Auctioneer: We’ve passed common sense about $20 million ago, sir.
Announcer: Sheehy bought up land of his own and started cutting off access to the public land nearby. He’s making a fortune selling trips to private hunting parties.
Auctioneer: Ladies and gentlemen it’s only money, give me $50 million.
Announcer: Sheehy even joined the board of directors for an outfit that pushed for public land sales for decades. In the Senate, we can’t trust Tim Sheehy to protect what belongs to all of us.
Auctioneer: Sold to the gentleman from California.
