MT AND OH LAUNCH WEEKEND OF ACTION → Reporting from Punchbowl News detailed how the coordinated field campaigns in Montana and Ohio will hold a Weekend of Action to mark 100 days out that will reach tens of thousands of voters.  

 📺 ICYMI: DSCC CHAIR SEN. PETERS SLAMS THE “VERY FLAWED REPUBLICAN CHALLENGERS” → This week, DSCC Chair Senator Gary Peters joined MSNBC’s Inside with Jen Psaki to highlight how Democratic Senate candidates “are doing well because these are candidate-to-candidate races — strong Senate incumbents against very flawed Republican challengers.”

  • SHEEHY’S BUSINESS “IN DIRE STRAITS” → New reporting by American Journal News found that while “Sheehy of Montana routinely touts his business experience as an asset on the campaign trail,” “financial reports suggest the company he led is in dire straits” and “has been rocked by financial losses and lawsuits.”

  • CRUZ CALLED OUT BY “TEXAS DOCTORS, NURSES” FOR “HIS ROLE IN PASSING THE STATE’S NEAR-TOTAL ABORTION BAN” → New coverage from Lonestar Live reports that “Texas health care workers are calling out Republican U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz for his role in passing the state’s near-total abortion ban and its subsequent effects on reproductive health care access.” 
  • SAM BROWN’S “NONNEGOTIABLE” ANTI-CHOICE RECORD & SUPPORT FOR “RESTRICTIVE ABORTION BANS” → This week, American Journal News exposed Sam Brown’s “decade-long record of…backing restrictive abortion bans with no exceptions” and his comments that his position was “nonnegotiable.”

“THE MATH DOESN’T WORK” ON SCOTT’S SHADY BUDGET PROPOSAL → In response to his proposal to cut the federal budget in half, economists explained that “if you tried to cut the government 50% but not touch Medicare or Social Security, you literally couldn’t do it” and exposed Scott’s plan for “definitionally…cutting Medicare and Social Security,” the Florida Phoenix reports.

THE NRSC CALLS A LOSING PLAY (AGAIN) → Punchbowl News mocked the NRSC this week for their “memo” on the presidential race, writing: “Yeah, ok.”
