Congressmen Ron DeSantis and David Jolly Cast 8th Vote to Defund Planned Parenthood, Vote Again To Repeal Obamacare

No, really: Congressmen Ron DeSantis and David Jolly voted on Groundhog’s Day to repeal Obamacare and defund Planned Parenthood. They’ve voted to defund Planned Parenthood 7 times before.

DeSantis and Jolly are working hard to maintain their records of voting with Washington Republicans even though these policies hurt families back home. More than 1.2 million Floridians would face rising taxes if the Affordable Care Act was repealed. More than 70,000 Floridians rely on Planned Parenthood for routine health services.

“Ron DeSantis and David Jolly have once again voted to prioritize partisan politics over what is best for the people of Florida,” said Lauren Passalacqua, DSCC National Press Secretary. “It is shameful that Congressmen DeSantis and Jolly would stick with their party instead of the thousands of Floridians who benefit from the Affordable Care Act and rely on Planned Parenthood. Florida deserves a Senator who will put their interests first.”
