No, really: Congressman Joe Heck voted on Groundhog’s Day to once again repeal Obamacare and defund Planned Parenthood. He’s voted to defund Planned Parenthood 9 times before.
Congressman Heck is working hard to maintain his record of voting with Washington Republicans 90 percent of the time even though these policies hurt families back home. About 174,000 eligible Nevadans benefit from Medicaid expansion and the taxes of nearly 50,000 Nevadans would go up if the Affordable Care Act was repealed. More than 21,000 Nevadans rely on Planned Parenthood for routine health services.
“Congressman Joe Heck has once again voted to prioritize partisan politics over what is best for the people of Nevada,” said Lauren Passalacqua, DSCC National Press Secretary. “It is shameful that Congressman Heck would stick with his party instead of the thousands of Nevadans who benefit from the Affordable Care Act and rely on Planned Parenthood, and Nevada deserves a Senator who will put their interests first.”
